Love in slumber

We slumber
through the gentle breeze.
We breathe.
Light comes for shadow,
I stir.
Turn.
I visit the sea,
floating,
floating backwards,
falling,
falling,
startled, quick breath.
Eyes open,
I see darkness
mixed with light.
My hand reaches across,
warmth of skin
it finds
you
stir.
My forehead nestled
in the back of your neck,
you mumble
love.
I mumble
love.
Down.
Breathing slows.
Deeper down.
We sleep.
